Voluntary service

Service can have a broad definition; it may include a year's commitment with Mennonite Voluntary Service or volunteering once a month at your local Boys and Girls Club.

Besides helping to meet the world's needs, service also gives you real world experience - what so many employers are looking for. Keep the option of service open throughout college and beyond.

Service & Seminary Expo

Career Services hosts a Service & Seminary Expo each semester to help students become aware of the many voluntary service and seminary opportunities that exist.

The event is held in the Union hallway in November and March (check the web calendar for exact dates). If you are considering voluntary service in any capacity (full-time, part-time, or temporary), please stop by the Expo for specific information from the participating organizations.

The following organizations have participated in the past:
Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary
Mennonite Central Committee
Christian Peacemaker Teams MDC Goldenrod
Discipleship, Encounter, Outreach (DEO) Mennonite Health Services
Discovering Opportunities for Outreach
and Reflection (DOOR)
Mennonite Mission Network
Eastern Mennonite Seminary
Mennonite Urban Corps
Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary
Oaklawn Psychiatric Center
