Entrepreneurship grants for students

To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Goshen College business department invites applications for entrepreneurship grants.  The grants, up to a maximum of $5,000 per application, are available to current Goshen College students from any major.  Funds can be used to develop a business idea, start a business, or grow an existing business.  Applications must be received by February 2011.  Funding decisions will be made as applications are received.  Application details are available from Michelle Horning (ext. 7453 or michelleeh@goshen.edu).

The business department last offered entrepreneurship grants to students 4 years ago.  Businesses that developed from those grants include internet marketing, photography, real estate renovation, website design, and magazine publication.  Tyler and Mark Springer, co-owners of Springer Design, Inc., a successful apparel and design company located in downtown Goshen were recipients of an entrepreneurship grant in 2007.
