Increased enrollment and retention combine for overall growth
Goshen College began the 2006-07 academic year with good news: an increase in overall student enrollment, up nearly 30 students to 951 (compared with 922 a year ago). According to the college’s registrar’s office, the 3 percent growth comes largely from the enrollment of 206 first-year students who comprise the largest incoming class since 1999. Overall new student enrollment is 272 students, compared with 264 in 2005-06. As fall classes got under way, 84 percent of last year’s first-year students had returned to GC, marking the fourth consecutive year of retention rates at or above 80 percent. -The profile of the Class of 2010-
