1. Interdisciplinary Forum I:  Faculty/student dialogue  (free and open to the public)

Students from a variety of departments on campus will present their response to an excerpt from Vandana Shiva’s new book, Soil not Oil.  Each student will address these questions:  From my disciplinary view, what are the compelling ideas in Shiva’s thesis?  What critique might my discipline offer?  Where does my discipline connect with other disciplines?

2. Vandana Shiva Lecture:  “Soil Not Oil: Security in Times of Climate Change”

3. Interdisciplinary Forum II:  Conversation with the community (free and open to the public)
Tuesday March 30th 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm, Church Fellowship Hall


In response to the lecture by Shiva on March 27th, a variety of community members will offer presentations addressing how we can apply Shiva’s challenge to our local Goshen community. Come join the dialogue.
