What are you supposed to do with your old cell phones and other electronics? For me it's easy: I just send my old cell phone back to my provider and they take care of it for me. However, it might not be that easy for you and your cell phone. Oh and what do you do with your old PDA's, ink cartridges, ipods? Yeah, good question.
Not to worry, there's a way to get rid of your old electronics and help save our home (Earth). USPS offers plastic bags to send out your old cell phones, PDA’s, digital cameras, ink cartridges and ipods for recycling. The best thing about the program is that it’s completely free, not to so mention easy. All you have to do is put the item in the plastic bag, and put it in the nearest mailbox. It will be picked up just like a letter. AMAZING!
When I was researching this I began to wonder, where does my cell phone then go? Well, our old electronics are then sent to a company in California called Clover Technologies Group. They then break down the equipment to be repackaged and eventually, will be reused.
So instead of letting your old cell phone collect dust in the basement, put them to better use and help the environment at the same time.
