I'm headed back to Goshen tomorrow already! Wow! I can't believe the summer is already over! I am looking forward to living in Howell house with 8 other girls. I also will have a lot of education classes, so they should be more enjoyable. This summer I went to Guatemala for 3 months and had a wonderful time! It was my SST requirement. I learned a lot about living in a different country. I learned Spanish more, too! My first host family was wonderful! There were 17 of us in the program. We had weekend trip to different towns. Some of us went to a Guatemalan National Soccer game and hiked a volcano. We enjoyed swimming in a lake and going to the largest market in Guatemala. My best friend Jennifer even came to visit me for a week! it was fun to have her there! During service, I was with 2 others at an organization that worked with high schoolers. We worked in their library though! It was interesting, that is for sure! The culture there was so different, but I had a wonderful time! I flew to Atlanta to surprise my friend Allison for her 21st birthday! It was fun hanging out with her for 3 days and seeing where she lived. I've been home for a week, and the time has gone fast!
