What an excellent fall so far! First of all, last week was split in half, with Celebrate Service Day on Wednesday (no classes!) First-years do service with their colloquium, and everyone else can choose to do so with their floor or housemates. Here is a link to photos from service day this year! My floor (K1) signed up to decorate cookies for the relief sale this weekend. Apparently it was a top choice of several groups, but we had the right amount of people. So on Wednesday morning, the eight of us drove to Pleasant View Mennonite, on the north side of Goshen, to package and begin decorating hundreds of cookies. The church had made over 800 in the previous two days! We had a lot of fun decorating, and you can see pictures of some of our group's cookies below :)

Last Wednesday there was also a pretty epic men's soccer game, which Goshen sadly lost by an unfortunate own goal in the second half. But the fans were still very supportive, and it was a lot of fun to cheer the team on anyway!

This weekend was the much-looked-forward-to Michiana Mennonite Relief sale! Friday evening I biked over to the Elkhart County fairgrounds with some friends to enjoy the ethnic food, apple cider, fellowship, and more. Plus the weather could not have been better! Then Saturday morning, as if I didn't get enough of the relief sale Friday, some of my friends and I biked back again to buy plants to decorate the dorm rooms and yummy apple fritters! (we didn't feel like waiting in the absurdly long line for the famous pancakes-and-sausage breakfast)

There was also connector "night life" saturday, which made it a very busy and fun weekend! Sadly, I'm kind of sick, as well as several of my friends, but I'm trying to be positive about it! This week should be good, but Mondays are always hard to get through... Well, enjoy your week!
