Busy, busy... but it's almost Thanksgiving!

I can't believe it's already been two weeks since I last posted! crazy...

Last week was probably my worst all semester, because of homework - I had 12 pages due for my Monday night class, 8 for Tuesday, and 10 for Wednesday. So basically Sunday through Tuesday I didn't get much sleep. I think about 11 hours total... But then it was all over! And I was able to "celebrate" with some fun activities later in the week.

On Wednesday afternoon, we took a field trip for Christian Faith, with Keith Graber Miller, to AMBS - Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. It was really cool to see their library and chapel for the first time, and talk about the theology behind the architecture. (I'm a Bible/Religion minor, so it was also a good time to check out possibilities for the future!)

My floor, K1, also went to Susie's, our RD, for dinner and candy-making! There were some white chocolate-covered pretzels, caramel popcorn, peppermint bark, rice krispies, and more. Afterward, we all got a plate full to take back with us! It was a lot of fun to make, but also very sugary.

Another fun break from work I got to take this week was a roommate date with K4 (everyone asks someone to go with their roommate). The theme was "retro bowling," so we were all supposed to dress up from an earlier age. It was a lot of fun getting ready with some friends on my hall who also went. I am a terrible bowler, but I had a few strikes and a good time, for sure!

Well, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I'm feeling like it's about time for another short break! I'll update some more after that, but until then, enjoy the pictures!

November craziness...

I am avoiding homework and various projects right now to update you a bit on my life at Goshen! So a lot has happened since I last wrote...

To start off the second half of the semester, my friends and I had a hymn sing in the racquetball courts and invited a ton of people. At one point I think there were 50 or 60! It was awesome.

Then last weekend, my sister came to visit! She is a junior in high school, and came with a busload of students from our home area. It was Halloween on Friday, so there were plenty of festivities going on. In the evening, the professors' kids walked through the dorms and we all handed out candy to them. They were very cute! At 10:30, the Yoder RAs planned a connector night life activity, with a dance, food, and a movie upstairs. There was a competition for costumes, as well. I wasn't really planning on dressing up, but some of my friends convinced me to, so I was a "flapper" with random accessories because we didn't have any real flapper clothes! Some of my guy friends decided to have a "bachelor party" and some of them dressed as girls and went in a group. It was pretty funny, and they won second in the group contest! Then on Saturday night, a huge group of us drove to a cemetery and played sardines, which was fun.

This weekend is a little more chill than last weekend, and I am spending a lot of time studying, or at least I should be. I went to see the mainstage, Saint Plays, last night, which were very good, though also very abstract. I also dyed my hair for the first time last night, on a whim! It was a fun experience to do with friends, though.

Well, enough procrastinating for now... Enjoy the pictures! :)
