Club Information

The Goshen College Astronomy Club is open to all. This includes students, faculty, and the general public. We usually meet in room 001 of the Science Hall to discuss various issues of astronomy such as telescope construction, star maps, and astrophysics. Of course we also meet to stargaze and have fun! For now, the astronomy club is being reorganized. We welcome any and all to contact Dr. John Ross Buschert, the club's faculty advisor, to find out about future events. This is the premier magazine for the Astronomy enthusiast. It contains star charts, helpful hints, and articles about astronomy in general.

• The NASA Astrophysics Data System
This is a great reference site which contains many astronomy preprints and records.

• The Munich Astro Archive
The ultimate astronomy reference site! The Munich Astro Archive contains astromaps, Messier Catalogues, and a preprint service.

• Hands-On Universe
Hands-On Universe is a wonderful site for middle and high school students as well as for teachers. The site contains a link to an automated telescope that allows students to take and download their own astronomy pictures.

• Astronomy for Kids!
A great site that introduces young scientists to the wonderful world of astronomy. The site contains puzzles, star charts, and even astronomy postcards.

This site discusses the hhistory of astronomy. Astronomiae Historia includes links to many texts and websites that cover almost every aspect of the history of astronomy.
