The art major at GC cultivates your creativity, productive skills and visual sensitivity. Students take courses in design, drawing and the history of art; they work in beginning and advanced levels in painting, sculpture, graphic design and other media areas.
An art minor is available for students who want to enrich their artistic skills with 20 hours of courses. Some communication majors choose a minor in art because they see the correlation between words, copy, visuals and art. Pre-architecture students who major in math or physics minor in art. Elementary education majors minor in art to become elementary classroom and art teachers.
