"The Maple Scholars program is beginning to really catch on. It is unusual that a small college has something like this, so we should speak loud and clear. This sort of thing is usually supported by the National Science Foundation and done on university campuses."
— Dr. Carl Helrich, Director of the Maple Scholars Program
From studying the educational needs of the local Latino community to the grieving habits of the Amish to deer herbivory, Maple Scholars gives students the opportunity to participate in independent research projects alongside Goshen College faculty of various disciplines.
During the eight-week program, each scholar is paired with a faculty member who serves as both colleague and supervisor.
