Bartel checking bisqueware pedestal sink just removed from his kiln
    June 10, 1998
This is work being prepared for One-Person-Show in the Goshen College Art Gallery, October, 1998. This sink and pedestal were made on the potter's wheel. The inside of the sink bowl was painted with a dogwood motif with colored slips before the clay was dry. It was bisque fired and will now be glazed with a number of different glazes to bring out the colors and character of the clay and slips. The final piece also includes tile work and a mirror for the wall. A foot operated valve will deliver water to the sink's spout. The bowl includes towel bars on each side.

The two large fish bowls on the ground were in the same bisque firing with the sink.
