Snap's "Character" PROFILE

Snapdragon is a young woman in her mid-twenties. Her past was one shrouded in mystery and secrets that she herself was unaware of until certain events brought them to the surface. Her appearance is in itself somewhat unique. It consists of long, shimmering white hair that falls down the length of her back in silvery waves. Her eyes are of a silver hue that sparkle like diamonds and change color as the light hits them. Her skin is smooth and pale like fine porcelain. Her ears ever so slightly come to a point.

Now, you would think, due to her appearance alone, she would have been aware of her unique heritage, but she was not. She grew up looking like most normal girls do, with ashen blonde hair and green eyes. It was only until her adulthood that she discovered her true identity.

For Snapdragon is in actuality, royalty. She is the last of her kind. She is the last and true heir of the Royal White Dragon Clan, destined to reign over all the Dragon Clans. She is the daughter of King Calafalas and Queen Lessien, Noble Monarchs of the Unified Dragon Clans. Her birth brought much happiness to the king and queen, but their happiness was to be short-lived. For the sworn enemies of the Dragon Clans, the Phoenix Clan, attacked not long after the princess was born. They were determined to rid themselves of the Royal White Dragons and take control of the kingdom for themselves. The Fire Dragons, guardians of the Dragon Clans, fought valiantly to allow the King and Queen a chance to escape. However, they were determined not to abandon their people at a time when they were most needed. They implored two of their most trusted servants of the Green Dragons, to usher their newborn daughter to safety. The Royal Adviser and his wife, a handmaiden to the queen, fled with the princess to a safe haven, where the Phoenix Clan would not know of her existence. The king and queen died as the castle was invaded.

The Green Dragons changed the appearance of the princess and raised her as their own. They hoped that she would someday be able to return to her homeland and fulfill her destiny.

And so it went. Time passed and the little girl grew up, happy and healthy, as well as it should have been. She thought of her guardians as her true parents, and they grew to love her as if she were truly theirs. She went to school, then onto college. She eventually moved out on her own. She was able to secure a condominium next to a river and found eventual employment at a “unique” beauty parlor known as “A Darker Shade of Cyn’s.” She served as a receptionist to the owners, Naraku and Legato Bluesummers. They offered their special services to the demons and other magical folk that lived in the neighborhood. To her, it wasn’t all that strange to work for a demon and a telepath. Then one day, something deep inside her prompted her to desire to alter her appearance. She only thought it was to offer comfort to the unusual clientele. However, all it was was her true nature coming to the surface. It also awakened her long dormant powers that were her birthright.

Her powers consist of the ability to harness and control the power of lightning. This is her primary power. Her other abilities consist of mild telepathy and telekinesis as well as empathy.

Gren

During this period, she invited Grencia Eckener to live with her. Her incredible sympathy for his cause prompted her to extend such an offer. He was extremely grateful and has been a very considerate roommate (other than a few snafus in regards to hair in the drain, but once he received his own room with a bathroom, it was taken care of). She also helped to set up a hotel along with Peanutcat to house various individuals who appeared in the neighborhood. Peanutcat and her both work together to maintain the hotel and it’s residents. This is how she first met Amon.

Amon had been a witch hunter in his ‘world.’ He had found himself in this world, a bit disoriented. Although Snapdragon was instantly attracted to him, she thought it best not to make any moves. Instead, she offered him a room in the hotel and hoped he would soon acclimate himself to the unique circumstances of this new world he soon found himself in. She knew it would be difficult, but she was determined to continue her endeavor. She knew he had to release himself of prior preconceptions. Eventually, he began to relax slightly, but he still held himself back due to the nature of his heritage. His mother had been a witch herself and he was able to witness firsthand her awakening and subsequent madness. Soon afterward, she was hunted. He was determined not to allow the same thing to happen to him and was trained and diligent in the hunting of other witches and Craft-users.

As fate would have it, Willow Rosenberg, a powerful witch in her own right, made a visit and saw his conflict. She regaled to him her own struggle with darkness and her eventual recovery. This confession caused Amon to eventually allow himself to more fully embrace his heritage, which led to the awakening of his own long dormant powers.

During Stampers’ Wedding Reception, the leader of the Fire Dragons, Arion happened to be introduced to Snapdragon, where his suspicions of her true identity began to surface. They were further confirmed when the Phoenix Clan attacked. Arion and his new charge, Ace, were able to successfully fight them off. Amon came to Snap’s defense despite getting injured himself. Soon afterwards, Arion disclosed Snap’s past and heritage to her. Full of self-doubt, she went to her parents where they finally able to tell her the truth. They passed onto her some mementos they had been able to salvage before fleeing the kingdom.

Snapdragon had to take some time to herself to allow the news sink in. Gradually, she began to accept her true self and eventually embraced it. And she was glad to see the softening of Amon’s heart. She knew she loved him, but was unsure of how he felt about her.

It took the sweet misunderstanding from Kiba, to finally allow Amon to admit his true feelings. It all started innocently enough, with Kiba inviting a flattered Snap to dinner, unaware of his true intentions. It seems, Kiba wished to confess his feelings to her, completely unaware of Amon sitting nearby. Amon over heard and was distressed upon hearing it and unwittingly displayed his powers. He fled to the Japanese Gardens, to attempt to gather his thoughts and emotions. Snap, however, gently rebuffed Kiba, knowing her heart belonged to Amon alone. Fearing the worst, Snap returned home, her hopes dashed. She poured her heart out to a sympathetic Gren. Michael Lee was able to talk to Amon and convince him that things weren’t as bleak as they appeared. With his guilt hanging over him, he sought to make amends with Miss Snap. Tearful, she confessed her love to him. Much to her relief, he did the same. There, under the moonlight and in the rain, they shared their first kiss. And thus, they (finally) became engaged.

After a fair amount of time being engaged, they were married in the Japanese Gardens by Wolfwood and given a blessing from Arion, standing in place of the Dragon High Priest. After a scare from a Phoenix Clan assassin, they were eager to begin their life together. The two of them decided to open a school for novice witches and Craft-users in order to train them to use their powers responsibly and therefore not be overtaken by the madness that had consumed them.

Blue

Amon and Snapdragon live in the condo, with Gren and Blue, the half-wolf half-dog.

For a short time, the assassin, Lucia lived with them under their care. She was the last of the royal line in the Phoenix Clan and was carrying the heir. Through them, she was able to have the love of family she had never previously known. She left their care after marrying Tasuki of the Suzaku Seichi and given birth to her son, Alessio. Now, Snap and Amon are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child.
